About the Founder

I'm Kayla, a fantasy reader, collector, and founder of Shadowfern Editions.

I started Shadowfern because I loved special editions and wanted to create the kinds of books I'd be excited to own myself.

What began as a love of fantasy stories and special editions has grown into a small indie press that works directly with authors and artists to create luxe collector editions.

Every release is a collaboration. Every design choice is intentional. And every book is created with the goal of doing justice to the story inside.

Shadowfern remains a small independent business, and every edition is something I'd be genuinely excited to add to my own shelves.

How Preorders Work

All Shadowfern Editions releases are produced through a preorder model.

Preorders are typically open for a limited period before moving into production. This allows us to produce responsibly while maintaining the limited nature of each edition.

Once production is complete, orders are shipped worldwide.
