About Kayla
I’m Kayla — a proud Aussie/Māori mum from Queensland with a lifelong love of books. I founded Shadowfern Editions to collaborate with talented authors and artists, bringing their unique gifts to life through thoughtfully made special editions. Each book is created with deep respect for the story and the people behind it.
Our Mission
We believe stories deserve more than ink on paper — they deserve reverence. That’s why we focus on premium materials, intentional design, and meaningful details like digitally signed pages. Our editions are built to last and made to be loved.
We specialize in fantasy — across all subgenres. Whether it’s epic quests, cozy magic, dark folklore, romantic fantasy, or anything in between, we celebrate the full spectrum of imaginative storytelling.
How Pre orders Work
We open pre orders for a limited 4-week window. This ensures we produce only the copies that are truly wanted — no waste, just intention.
Once pre orders close, we begin production and ship worldwide. Occasionally, a few extra copies may be available, but they’re never guaranteed — so pre order early to secure yours!
